Compliance, verification & integrity

Trust, made operational.

Compliance is not a decorative statement. It determines who may enter a transaction, what may be relied upon, how instructions are authenticated and whether an opportunity should proceed.

Our control framework

Controls proportionate to the opportunity.

Requirements vary according to product, jurisdiction, value, counterparty, route and transaction structure. Solara applies risk-based review and may require independent or professional verification at any stage.

Corporate identity

Legal existence, jurisdiction, ownership, controllers, operating address and relevant corporate history are reviewed on a risk-based basis.

Authority to transact

Signatory authority, mandates, allocations, title or supply authority and purchasing authority must be supported through appropriate documentation.

Sanctions and financial crime

Counterparties, beneficial owners, key principals, jurisdictions, vessels, banks and material transaction parties may be screened against applicable sanctions, AML, CFT, proliferation-financing and adverse-media risk indicators.

Product and document provenance

Product specifications, origin, availability, inspection records and material commercial documents must be capable of authentication through appropriate issuing or operational channels.

Operational verification

Terminal, refinery, inspection, logistics, storage and delivery representations are verified independently where appropriate to the structure and stage of the transaction.

Conduct and information control

Solara does not condone bribery, facilitation payments, concealed conflicts, document manipulation or deceptive representations. Sensitive information is released selectively and for a legitimate transaction purpose.

Counterparty onboarding

A defined pathway from enquiry to engagement.

Solara does not begin with passports, banking records or complete corporate books. We begin by establishing whether a real, commercially coherent opportunity exists. Sensitive information is requested only after initial qualification and through an appropriate channel.

Initial qualification

We assess the product, specification, volume, location, Incoterm, timing, authority and commercial objective before requesting sensitive documents.

Corporate verification

The legal entity, registration, operating address, website, corporate email domain and relevant trading history are established.

Ownership and authority

Beneficial owners, directors, authorised signatories and the authority of any representative, mandate or intermediary are reviewed.

Risk screening

Relevant parties, jurisdictions, vessels, banks and transaction routes may be screened for sanctions, PEP, adverse-media and financial-crime concerns.

Commercial and operational diligence

Buyer capacity, seller authority, product position, inspection pathway, logistics and transaction documents are examined in proportion to risk.

Controlled documentation

Confidential information is exchanged through an agreed channel, with version control and clear identification of the issuing party and authorised recipient.

Approval and continuing review

Progression is subject to satisfactory review. Solara may seek enhanced diligence, refresh information, suspend activity or decline an opportunity at any stage.

Scope: this framework describes Solara’s commercial risk controls. It does not represent that Solara is a bank, trust company, payment institution or other regulated financial institution, nor does it replace the duties of banks, paymasters, advisers, inspection companies or other regulated participants.

Fraud and payment security

Stop. Verify. Then act.

Solara’s official public domain is solaracommodities.com. Be alert to lookalike domains, altered invoices, unauthorised representatives, substituted beneficiaries and urgent requests designed to bypass established controls.

Solara will never expect a counterparty to accept a change of bank, beneficiary, wallet, paymaster, escrow agent or settlement route solely because it appeared in an email, message, replacement invoice or messaging application.
  • Banking and settlement instructions are never published on this website.
  • Material payment instructions must be contained in, or expressly supported by, authenticated transaction documentation.
  • Any proposed change must be independently confirmed using contact details established before the change request was received.
  • Do not use the telephone number, link or email address contained only in the change message to verify that same message.
  • Where a paymaster, escrow agent, bank or other settlement participant is involved, its identity and authority must be documented and independently confirmed.
  • If anything is inconsistent, unusually urgent or commercially unexplained, suspend payment and contact Solara through a previously authenticated channel.

Suspected impersonation or payment fraud should be reported to info@solaracommodities.com with the subject line “Urgent — Fraud or impersonation report”.

Counterparty notice: submission of information does not oblige Solara to accept an enquiry, disclose confidential information or enter a transaction. Solara may request enhanced due diligence and may discontinue an engagement where authority, provenance, commercial capacity or risk concerns cannot be resolved.
